By: Aug. 02, 2011

The Baltimore Playwrights Festival (www.baltplayfest.com) announces the August 12th opening of Asking Questions, by Nancy Murray, at the Fells Point Corner Theater (www.fpct.org), 251 South Ann Street, Baltimore, MD 21231. Directed by Peter Davis, Asking Questions tells the story of Mandi and Meg, who are doing just fine until Mandi decides she wants to know about her father. Meg has kept the story secret for 15 years and is not about to tell her daughter now. But history repeats itself and as it does Meg and Mandy are forced to face the truth about the past, themselves and each other. Asking Questions will run through 28th, Thursday- Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 7 p.m. (There will be no show August 19th.) Tickets are $12 and can be purchased on-line at www.fpct.org, or at the door.

Nancy Murray has been involved with the theater for 15 years wearing the hats of playwright, director and performer. Her most recent productions include playing Blanche DuBois in A Streetcar Named Desire at Spotlighters Theater and directing Henry's Holidays by Julie Lewis at Run of the Mill Theater. Nancy hopes Asking Questions will inspire folks to think before they act and to act with compassion for others.
