The Annual Playwright's Festival and Vagabond Players Present COMMENCEMENT, 7/16-25
The 29th Annual Baltimore Playwright's Festival continues at The Vagabond Theatre with COMMENCEMENT, written by David Allyn and directed by Karin Crighton, July 16-18 and 23-25. The Baltimore Playwright's Festival at Vagabond Players which is located at 806 S. Broadway. Performance times are Friday and Saturdays at 8PM and Sundays at 7PM. Tickets are $10-$12 and are free for Vagabond members and subscribers.
The dramatic comedy brings together a divorced couple for their daughter Danni's college graduation. Jeffery, a publishing magnate, and his ex-wife Sharon, a US senator running for reelection, attempt to put aside their difference for one weekend, but the past, and their significantly younger romantic partners, get in the way. Their bickering leads to a profound revelation. Danni has decided to truly commence a new life by converting to Islam. The ensemble cast includes: Stacy Bonds, Rodney Bonds, Trish Bentz, Kelly Fuller, Alex Karafakis and Lynn McCormick.
