ASKING QUESTIONS Opens at Fells Point Corner Theatre 8/12
By: Lauren Wolman
Mandi and Meg are doing fine until Mandi asks about her father. Meg has kept the story secret for 15 years and is not about to tell her daughter now. Meg and Mandy are forced to face the truth about the past, themselves and each other. Asking Questions is about a woman coming to terms with her shame, lies and loneliness, a daughter longing for the father she never knew existed, and a guy acknowledging that he's been a creep.
From playwright, Nancy Murray: "This play was inspired by my teen years, my son's and daughter's lives and anyone trying to safely navigate the mixed messages and the confusing feelings inspired by their coming of age. This story came to me in theatrical form because it is asking questions that we should ask ourselves and each other in the presence of our community...What kind of people are we?"Videos
