I'm currently a rising senior at Augustana College in Rock Island, IL, studying for an undergraduate degree in Theater Preformance and Film. I have over 6 years of experience in theatrical acting, and am just beginning to stretch my muscles in film acting. From Shakespeare, to modern takes on classics such as Dracula, I am always eager to further establish myself in new and innovative roles. The same goes for the shows I enjoy watching. I always love a show that challanged the norms of theater that we all know and love. I'll take a brechtian comedy any day. In my free time you can find me writing, painting, making jewelry, reading, watching movies, playing DnD... you get the gist. I've been told I have a decent sense of humor, but I don't really see it. Has anyone seen my glasses? This is my first time as a student blogger, so I'm excited to express my love for the arts through writing!

- JENNY LIND PRESENTS P.T. BARNUM Opens In Hollywood in June - I always love seeing my professors and classmates being showcased for the awesome work that they're doing within the arts, and this article showcases my professor, Shelley Cooper, and her one woman show which tells the true story of Jenny Lind and her acquaintanceship with PT Barnum. I saw one of the earlier productions of the show a few years ago during a Celebration of Learning event on campus, and given one of my studies is scandinavian studies, it's amazing to see my two worlds combine in such a unique and beautiful way.
