Colette is an upcoming biographical drama film based on the life of the French novelist Colette. Colette overcomes an abusive marriage to emerge as a leading writer in her country and a candidate for the Nobel Prize in Literature. The film is directed by Wash Westmoreland and written by Westmoreland and Richard Glatzer. The film stars Keira Knightley and Dominic West. It premiered at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival. Bleecker Street will release the film on September 21, 2018.

The Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center announces the 2019 dates for the 38th Annual Tejano Conjunto Festival en San Antonio. The first and longest-running Conjunto festival in the country will be held May 15-19, 2019, in the historic Guadalupe Theater and Rosedale Park on the city's Westside. The festival continues the cultural tradition of this uniquely South Texas musical genre by featuring over 30 of the best, most-popular, and emerging bands from across the state, country and the world. An art contest, call for literature, Seniors Dance, and a special Hall of Fame inauguration round out the popular festival.

Ant-Man and the Wasp is an American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics characters Scott Lang / Ant-Man and Hope van Dyne / Wasp. Produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, it is intended to be the sequel to 2015's Ant-Man, and the twentieth film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). USA Network is coming to San Diego Comic-Con this year with an immersive activation and panel for the eagerly awaited television series THE PURGE. Based on the worldwide phenomenon film franchise, the series will debut on USA on Tuesday, September 4 at 10/9c. “The First Purge” is now in theaters.
