The Park Theatre's River Street Theatre (RST) announced that they will present in June a film festival of three films to honor acclaimed actor of the macabre, Vincent Price. The films include The Bat (Saturday, June 2), The Last Man on Earth (Saturday, June 9) and The House on Haunted Hill (Saturday, June 16). All films will be shown at 7 pm.

Production has begun on “Maleficent II,” a sequel to the 2014 global box office hit “Maleficent,” at Pinewood Studios and on locations throughout the U.K.. Oscar® and three-time Golden Globe® winner Angelina Jolie (“Girl, Interrupted,” “Wanted”) and Elle Fanning (“The Beguiled,” “Super 8”) reprise their roles as the dark fairy Maleficent and Princess Aurora, respectively, two characters from the studio's animated classic “Sleeping Beauty,” whose untold story was brought to life on screen in “Maleficent.”

Brooklyn-based composer of post-genre electro-acoustic music William Brittelle, along with indie-rock duo Wye Oak and New York City-based group Metropolis Ensemble led by Andrew Cyr, will perform Brittelle's Spiritual America, a series of electro-acoustic orchestral art songs exploring issues of secular spirituality in American culture, at the Hollywood Bowl on Sunday, August 5. This performance will be the West Coast premiere of Spiritual America and will open an evening featuring Bon Iver & TU Dance, whose unprecedented collaboration titled 'Come Through' will also be a West Coast premiere.

The Flaming Lips announce their first official “hits” collection on Warner Bros. Records to be released on June 1. Greatest Hits Vol. 1 will compile eleven WBR-era singles and album tracks on a single black vinyl pressing. This is the first time The Lips have presented singles from Transmissions From The Satellite Heart (1993), Clouds Taste Metallic (1995), The Soft Bulletin (1999), Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots (2002), At War With The Mystics (2006), Embryonic (2009) and their current album Oczy Mlody (2017) on a single disc. The Deluxe digital and Deluxe 3-CD Editionof Greatest Hits Vol.1 significantly expands the concept of their “hits” and gathers some of their best-loved album tracks from the aforementioned albums plus deep cuts from their WBR album debut, Hit To Death In The Future Head (1992), along with music from, Zaireeka (1997), The Flaming Lips And Heady Fwends (2012) and The Terror (2013). For the third consecutive year, Miranda Lambert's MuttNation Foundation will be entertaining CMA Fest fans with Music City's cutest canines, all available for adoption to caring, qualified families. Partnering with Nashville Humane Association, MuttNation will have adorable adoptables available each day from11-3pm at the MuttNation rig located inside the Music City Center. Bev Lambert, Miranda's mom and co-founder of MuttNation Foundation, will be on-site to have photos taken with each adopting family. On Friday, June 8th, Rooftop Films will present the New York Premiere of Wrestle outdoors in MetroTech Commons in Downtown Brooklyn.
