Individual tickets for Minneapolis Musical Theatre's (MMT) Reefer Madness and Sunset Boulevard go on sale at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 5. These productions, featured on MMT's 2013 Season and directed by their artistic director Steven Meerdink, are being presented as part of a new partnership between MMT and Hennepin Theatre Trust at the New Century Theatre, 615 Hennepin Avenue in downtown Minneapolis. Reefer Madness is a raucous musical comedy about the perils of marijuana which runs February 1-24, 2013. Sunset Boulevard is the Broadway hit based on the Oscar-winning movie about faded glory and thwarted ambition which runs May 31-June 23. Single tickets are now on sale to the public for Sierra Repertory Theatre's 2013 season. New this year, all shows will have the same ticket prices, ranging from $18 for students to $32 for general admission, also dependent on the day of the week and time. Two New Brunswick-based Arts organizations (aided by a third) have announced a new partnership. Alfa Art Gallery, which has called New Brunswick home since 2008, will partner with George Street Playhouse in presenting a series of rotating exhibits to be presented throughout the Theatre's 2012-13 season. The exhibit, co-sponsored by The New Brunswick Cultural Center, will be changed to correspond with the opening of each of the Playhouse's five productions. Located in George Street Playhouse's Cabaret lobby space, each display will be available to view during regular box office operating hours.

Everyman Theatre announces today that it has become an Associate Member of the National New Play Network. Based in Washington, DC, the National New Play Network is the country's alliance of nonprofit theatres that champions the development, production and continued life of new plays. Everyman's new membership demonstrates its commitment to the development of new plays throughout the country.

Dimensions Dance Theater has announced the premiere of DOWN THE CONGO LINE II featuring two works rooted in Congolese tradition by choreographers Herve (Kayos) Makaya and Jose "Cheo" Rojas, directed by Dimensions Dance Theater Artistic Director Deborah Vaughan. A celebration of dance and music rooted in Congolese traditions, the performance will be accompanied by Cuban and Congolese percussionists, and two of the Bay Area's best-known drummers-Sandy Perez from Cuba, and Kiazi Malonga, son of the late Malonga Casquelourd.

Ten theater artists will be honored by the Henry Hewes Design Awards Committee during the dual presentation of its 2011 and 2012 Awards in a luncheon ceremony scheduled for October 29. David Korins (Chinglish),Gregg Barnes (Follies), Brian MacDevitt (Death of a Salesman) and Daniel Kluger (Tribes) will be honored with 2012 Henry Hewes Design Awards. The 2011 Henry Hewes Awards were announced earlier this year. For the 2012 honors, 86 theater artists were nominated for outstanding artistry in 57 productions presented during the 2011-2012 New York theater season.

On November 9, 2012, The New York Pops orchestra will be the star of the performance at Carnegie Hall's Stern Auditorium/Perelman Stage. Music Director and Conductor Steven Reineke - described by The New York Times as a "polished, welcoming host" who is "young and vigorous, with a playful attitude" - will lead the orchestra in a highly-anticipated performance featuring a program of popular and familiar classical repertoire.

Stages Theatre Company (STC) begins a five-city tour of "The Diary of Anne Frank," an emotional and historical account of her experiences while hiding during the German occupation of the Netherlands in World War II. The five-city tour is part of the Stories for the Stage, an arts-integrated residency and touring project that provides selected middle schools with 60 hours of theatre arts residency programming. Concluding the arts residency is a free, public performance of "The Diary of Anne Frank" produced by STC. This professional production is performed by eight adult actors and two STC youth actors.

Shakespeare on the Sound, a non-profit committed to producing free, professional open-air productions of the plays of William Shakespeare and offering year-round educational programming for the community is in pursuit of raising $17,500 for Anti-Bullying Program "Speaking Daggers" on crowd source funding website, Indiegogo.com. The campaign lasts only for 35 days between October 1 - November 4.

Broadway's A Christmas Story, The Musical has found its Ralphie. Following a nationwide search, producers of the musical have announced that Johnny Rabe will don Ralphie's trademark spectacles for the holiday engagement at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. Rabe will make his Broadway debut in the role.
