Now in its 6th year, The Next Stage Theatre Festival (NSTF) is Toronto's premiere winter theatre event featuring work by veteran Canadian theatre artists and the hottest emerging talent in our city. Produced by The Toronto Fringe, the 12 day festival showcases a thrilling variety of theatre from drama to comedy, and musical theatre to a multimedia "live-film" production. The line-up includes 10 productions whose actors, directors and playwrights have been recognized by many prestigious awards including a total of 11 Dora Award Nominations, Canadian Comedy Awards, a Governor General's Award for Drama, and many more.

Six time Grammy award winner, Roberta Flack, is coming to the St. George Theatre on Saturday, January 12, 2013 to perform songs from her latest release, Let It Be Roberta, an interpretive album of classic hits from The Beatles.

The UW School of Drama is collaborating with Book-It Repertory Theatre to explore potential adaptations in several evenings of readings at Meany Studio Theatre on the Seattle campus. MFA acting, directing and design students present selections developed through intensive workshops and master classes. Brad Jacobowitz is pleased to announce the New York City premiere of his dark comedy The Pizza Boy on January 29, 2013 at the AMC Loews 19th Street 6. Written and directed by Jacobowitz, The Pizza Boy is a portrait of the disgruntled working class man in modern times. Brad (Brad Jacobowitz) has come to a violent crossroads where he will choose whether to make life changes for the better or go down a path of destruction. FOCUS 2013, a celebration of U.S.-based dance presented by Gotham Arts Exchange, introduces a new program and stage to its annual platform, FOCUS 2013: FOCAL POINT, comprised of three programs each curated by a different dance artist. On January 11, 12 and 13, Hans Graf and the Houston Symphony will present a concert of music that is distinctly emblematic of the American experience. The music of Aaron Copland, Henri Dutilleux and Antonin Dvorak will be performed on January 12 and 13, while the January 11 ACCESS concert will take a deeper look into the music of Copland and Dvorak with an interactive and informative concert experience.

After breaking box office records in the three previous engagements, WICKED, Broadway's biggest blockbuster, has once again set records at the Fabulous Fox Theatre. WICKED grossed $2,755,070 for the week ending December 30. The total was not only a new house record at the Fabulous Fox Theatre, but also the highest gross for a week of performances in North American touring history.

Rosalind Productions Inc.'s Off-Broadway premiere of Jennifer Maisel's The Last Seder ends its extended, acclaimed run Sunday January 13th. This Off-Broadway limited engagement at Theater Three (311 West 43rd Street) began December 1st. The show runs 100 minutes without an intermission.

Tarragon Theatre presents the Toronto premiere of The Amorous Adventures of Anatol, based on Austrian playwright/novelist Arthur Schnitzler's Anatol (1893), adapted and directed by Morris Panych, one of Canada's most celebrated playwrights and directors. The National Park Service celebrates the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. at the African Burial Ground National Monument in Lower Manhattan on January 15, 2013. Music from the Civil Rights Movement and clips of scenes from King's life will be played throughout the day.
