The Mirage Hotel & Casino welcomes the return of comedian Ron White when he hosts "Ron White's Comedy Salute from Vegas" Wednesday, Feb. 6 at 7:30 p.m. The one-night show will take place at the Terry Fator Theatre with proceeds benefiting the Armed Forces Foundation.

Following last winter's wildly successful run of Molière's The Learned Ladies, a hilarious French farce will once again heat up the Elayne P. Bernstein Theatre in February and March at Shakespeare & Company. This year, a talented ensemble of Company artists will take on award-winning playwright David Ives's (Venus in Fur, All in the Timing) razor sharp and rib-tickling adaptation of Pierre Corneille's classic farce, The Liar, running from February 1 through March 24. The production is directed by founding member Kevin G. Coleman, the critically acclaimed director of The Memory of Water (2011) and The Winter's Tale (2010), among many others.

New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW) Artistic Director James C. Nicola and Managing Director William Russo have announced that the New York premiere of Belleville, written by Amy Herzog and directed by Anne Kauffman, will begin performances Tuesday, February 12 at NYTW, 79 East 4 Street, between Bowery and Second Avenue. Opening night is set for Sunday, March 3 at 7pm. Belleville is scheduled to run through Sunday, March 31.

On Thursday, January 17 Go Comedy! will debut its 10th original sketch comedy revue, Lame Duck Soup. The show will appear Thursday and Friday nights at 8:00pm joining the improv theater's weekly schedule featuring the Go Comedy! All Star Showdown, and other improvised shows Wednesday - Sunday evenings. Winning a Pulitzer Prize in 1988 and the Oscar for Best Picture in 1989, "Driving Miss Daisy" is opening at the Alhambra Theatre on February 5. Appropriate for a play of such esteem, the Alhambra has brought in not one, as has been its custom of late, but two stars to carry the show: four-time Emmy Award Winner, Michael Learned will star as Daisy Werthan and Lance Nichols, star of the HBO series TREME, as her chauffeur, Hoke Coleburn. This will be the fourth time Learned and Nichols will star together in "Driving Miss Daisy." Rounding out the three-person cast is Michael Edward Hodge, a New York actor who plays Daisy's son, Boolie Werthan.

Marin Theatre Company's Board of Directors announced today that it has named Michael Barker as the 46-year-old nonprofit theater company's new managing director. Currently the general manager of Laguna Playhouse in Laguna Beach, CA, Barker will assume his full-time duties at MTC on February 25, 2013.

After a nationwide search, full casting has been announced for the Las Vegas production of MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET, which begins performances at Harrah's Las Vegas on February 4. The cast will be led by Martin Kaye as Jerry Lee Lewis, Benjamin D. Hale as Johnny Cash, Tyler Hunter as Elvis Presley and Robert Britton Lyons as Carl Perkins. The cast also features Marc Donovan as Sam Phillips, Felice Garicia as Dyanne, and musicians Jim Belk and Mikey Hachey.

Academy Award nominee and Tony Award winner John Lithgow takes the title role in The Magistrate, an uproarious Victorian farce directed by Olivier Award winner Timothy Sheader, also featuring Olivier Award winner Nancy Carroll. Three estranged brothers reunite to settle unfinished business in the world premiere of A Family Thing, a darkly funny new drama about the meaning of family by Gary Lennon (The Interlopers). Music Rising, the award winning post-Katrina music initiative founded in 2005 has expanded its mission to rebuild music programsimpacted by natural disasters within the entire US. The initial donation being made by the new, nationwide Music Rising program is $250,000 to help rebuild school music programs in the tri-state area that were affected by Hurricane Sandy.
