Angela Meade will sing the role of Leonora in tomorrow afternoon's performance of Verdi's Il Trovatore, replacing Patricia Racette, who is ill. The performance will be broadcast worldwide over the Toll Brothers-Metropolitan Opera Radio Network. As previously scheduled, Meade will also sing the role on Wednesday, January 16.

The Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design (MIAD) and Inova, situated within the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Peck School of the Arts, are joining forces to present Makers in Print: International Exhibition, January 18-March 24, 2013. The exhibition will take place concurrently at MIAD's Frederick Layton Gallery in Milwaukee's Third Ward and Inova's gallery on the East Side. Opening receptions will be held at both galleries on Gallery Night, January 18.

Univision 65 lead news anchor Ilia Garcia hosts and moderates the evening with Trujillo and Brown engaging in a dynamic conversation about Trujillo's beginnings as a farmworker in Salinas Valley, Calif., his experiences as a journalist, and his role as host of "Comunidad Del Valle," the longest-running public affairs show in Northern California.

The Eccles Center is poised to launch an adventure in entertainment with a second - and new - installation of The Intergalactic Nemesis. For the uninitiated, this unique, "live-action graphic novel" blends comic book-style drawings (projected onto a giant screen), actors performing radio drama on stage, music, kapow-like sound effects and utter escapism. Book Two: Robot Planet Rising takes audiences into stellar and unchartered terrain on Saturday, February 16. Show is recommended for all ages (including children ages 7 and older). Awarded in June 2012, CCM's $50,000 ArtsWave Community Partnership grant was designed to develop mutually beneficial projects that will advance both organizations' goals for the community and the arts sector.
