The Lied Center for Performing Arts at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln will present 'Shatner's World,' featuring William Shatner in a solo larger-than-life performance at 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 26. Shatner has cultivated a career spanning more than 50 years as an award-winning actor, director, producer, writer, recording artist and horseman.

Poet, artist and cultural designer Amir Parsa responds to the medieval manuscripts in the current exhibition, Crossing Borders: Manuscripts from the Bodleian Libraries, in a performative reading on Thursday, January 31 at 6:30pm at The Jewish Museum. This program continues Writers and Artists Respond, a series of thought provoking discussions and performances by artists, musicians and writers in The Jewish Museum's galleries.

The City of Arvada has announced the hiring of Philip C. Sneed as the Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities new Executive Director. The announcement concludes a seven month national search to fill the Center's top position. Sneed who currently serves as the Producing Artistic Director of the Colorado Shakespeare Festival will assume his duties beginning February 4, 2013.
