SoHo Playhouse Extends 5 LESBIANS EATING A QUICHE Through January 6

5 Lesbians Eating a Quiche has been extended through January 6 at SoHo Playhouse, it was announced today.

5 Lesbians Eating a Quiche takes us to 1956 where the Susan B. Anthony Society for the Sisters of Gertrude Stein are having their annual quiche breakfast. Will they be able to keep their cool when Communists threaten their idyllic town? Written by Evan Linder and Andrew Hobgood with contributions by Mary Hollis Inboden, Megan Johns, Thea Lux, Beth Stelling and Maari Suorsa, the play is directed by Sarah Gitenstein, and stars Caitlin Chuckta, Rachel Farmer, Megan Johns, Thea Lux, and Maari Suorsa.

5 Lesbians Eating a Quiche will play on the SoHo Playhouse Mainstage Saturdays at 10:00pm, and Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays at 7:30pm until Tuesday, November 20th. Theater for the New City (TNC), 155 First Ave., will present 'Susan B.' by Toby Armour, a bioplay on sufferagist Susan B. Anthony directed by Joan Kane, October 12 to 16. In conjunction with the play, League of Women Voters of New York will conduct voter registration in the theater lobby (each performance) and talkbacks on the midterm elections featuring representatives of the League (Friday at 8:00 PM and Saturday at 8:00 PM).

A staged reading of Charlie Falkner's brand-new play Darwin's Reptilia was presented by Burning House at IRT Theatre in October. Darwin's Reptilia is the latest work from the Australian playwright, whose previous plays Dirty People and Sex Object saw national tours and rave reviews back home, with Sex Object being picked up for a run at NYC's The PIT Loft in 2018. Set in a run-down motel in the Australian City of Darwin, the play follows four American tourists as they grapple with the chaos that has led them there.
