Following the critical and popular success of Sting's 2011-2012 world tour throughout North America, Europe, the UK, South Africa, and Asia, Live Nation is pleased to announce that the Back to Bass tour will continue this year, with Sting performing many of his greatest hits, stripped down, with a 5-piece band.

The Charlotte improvisational theatre group, the Chuckleheads, make their Comedy Zone Charlotte at the North Carolina Music Factory debut with their Comedy Improv Musical Variety Extravaganza, 900 NC Music Factory Blvd, Charlotte, on Sunday, January 27 with a 4p family friendly show and a 6p adults only show.

The 65th annual Festival d'Aix-en-Provence, under the leadership of General Manager Bernard Foccroulle, will feature five opera productions, a selection of orchestral concerts, recitals, chamber music performances, world music programs, and more than 50 events from the 16th annual European Academy of Music. The Festival marks important milestones this year: Giuseppe Verdi and Richard Wagner's 200th birthday anniversaries; Benjamin Britten's centennial; the 50th anniversary of Francis Poulenc's death; and celebrates Marseille-Provence 2013, European Cultural Capital for the year. All events unfold in extraordinary venues, many of them open-air, in and around the picturesque ancient Provencal city: a Medieval archbishop's palace, an 18th century Italian-style theatre, a private courtyard hidden behind doors dating back to the time of Louis XV, and an 11th century Romanesque chapel inside the grounds of a Renaissance castle - as well as a state of the art, 1,350-seat theatre. The official portion of the Festival runs from July 4 to 27, 2013.

Atlantic Theater Company has just announced that the New York premiere of Rolin Jones' comedy THE JAMMER, directed by Jackson Gay, has now been extended through Sunday, February 17 in advance of officially opening tonight, Tuesday, January 22.

The Mission Creek Festival has released the first lineup announcement for this spring's festival. The festival will feature performances by Grizzly Bear, Iris Dement, Tig Notaro, Killer Mike, Deerhoof, Thao & The Get Down Stay Down, Cornelius Eady, Amber Tamblyn, and many more. CYNTHIA-REEVES has announced the permanent installation of John Grade's monumental sculpture, Wawona, at the Museum of History & Industry, located in Lake Union Park in Seattle, Washington. The museum's new facility, which features Grade's work in their Grand Atrium, opened to the public on December 29, 2012.

The Teahouse of the August Moon was adapted in 1952 by playwright John Patrick from the novel of the same name by Vern Sneider. The play opened in New York City at the Martin Beck Theater on October 15, 1953. It was a Broadway hit, running 1027 performances and winning many awards including: the New York Drama Critics Circle Award for Best American Play of the Year, the Pulitzer Prize in Drama and the Tony Award.

Ben Allatt, a local business leader and resident of midtown Harrisburg, has announced his candidacy for City Council in the City of Harrisburg. He made a public pronouncement at a Capital Region Stonewall Democrat fundraiser held at The LGBT Center of Central PA located in midtown Harrisburg. Allatt, a Democrat, has lived in Harrisburg for more than 14 years and is employed as Vice President of JFC Medical, based in Camp Hill.
