Signature Theatre has announced a one-week extension for the world premiere of OLD HATS, created and performed by Tony Award winners Bill Irwin and David Shiner, with music by and featuring Nellie McKay, and directed by Tina Landau. The production will now play through Sunday, April 7. The production will begin performances on February 12 and open on March 4 in The Irene Diamond Stage at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues). Tickets during the extension week are $75 each.

Bay City Players Youtheatre will hold registration for its 2013 Season on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. (doors open at 9:30 a.m.) at Bay City Players, 1214 Columbus Avenue in Bay City. Performances are June 13 - June 15, 2013. This program is open to those students in grades 3-9, and is limited to 160 participants. Registration is $35.00, and includes a t-shirt.

The GRAMMY Foundation - one of two affiliated charities of The Recording Academy - announced today that Ryan Seacrest has been appointed Honorary Chair of the GRAMMY Foundation Board. The GRAMMY Foundation offers year-round music education programs for high school students and schools; and advancement, archiving and preservation, and grant-making programs to safeguard important collections and fund research at the intersection of music and science. Seacrest joins current GRAMMY Foundation Board Chairman and new venture backer Rusty Rueff; Vice Chair Tim Bucher, founder and CEO of TastingRoom.com and Silicon Valley-based entrepreneur; Secretary/Treasurer Geoff Cottrill, chief marketing officer of Converse; and Chair Emeritus Beatriz R. Perez, chief sustainability officer of the Coca-Cola Company, in leadership positions at the organization.

The Irish Music Rights Organisation (IMRO) have recently announced the shortlist for this years Live Music Venue of the Year Awards with Roscommon Arts Centre securing a place on the shortlist for Connacht Live Venue of the Year. The annual awards celebrates live music venues across Ireland who work hard each week to bring live music to their area.

The Brown Paper Box Co. presents CHARACTER BREAKDOWN: A Miscast Cabaret on Saturday, March 23 at 8pm. Six-time GRAMMY winner Justin Timberlake is set to perform on the 55th Annual GRAMMY Awards telecast. This marks the first time in four years that Timberlake will grace the GRAMMY stage, and will be his debut TV performance on the eve of his first studio album in seven years. The music industry's premier event will take place live on Sunday, Feb. 10, at STAPLES Center in Los Angeles and will be broadcast in high-definition TV and 5.1 surround sound on the CBS Television Network from 8 - 11:30 p.m. (ET/PT). The show also will be supported on radio worldwide via Dial Global, and covered online at GRAMMY.com and CBS.com, and on YouTube. The Bainbridge Symphony Orchestra has announced the 2013 winner of the BSO's 2013 Young Artist Competion - Marianne Martinoli, violin, age 15 from Monroe. Pianist Benjamin Salman of Seattle was awarded second place for his performance of the first movement of Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 5 in E-flat major, "Emperor." The judges also announced two Honorable Mentions given to pianists Mya King, from Silverdale, for her performance of Albeniz' Concierto Fantastico, mvt 3, Allegro, and to Michael Lee, from Issaquah, for his performance of Liszt's Totentanz.

The American Heart Association's Go Red For Women is asking America to go RED in celebration of the 10th National Wear Red Day on February 1, 2013. For 10 years, women have been fighting heart disease - the No. 1 killer of women - both individually and together as part of the Go Red For Women movement. To date, more than 627,000 women's lives have been saved, but the fight is far from over. Women need the right information, education and care, in order to treat, prevent, and even end heart disease.

Ars Nova kicks off its 2013 season with The Netflix Plays, which begins performances January 30. This production, the newest installment from Ars Nova's Play Group, is set to play 10 performances from today, January 30 - February 9. The Netflix Plays, this year's incarnation of Ars Nova's annual Play Group production, features original short plays and live music inspired by the recommendation categories on the Netflix website.

"Children of Paradise," a play with mime that draws its inspiration from the classic of French film, comes to life in a physically demanding new staging written and directed by Richmond Shepard. With music direction by Harrison Wade, and a cast of 14, "Children of Paradise" parts the curtains on a small French theatre in the 1800's, The Funambules, where Jean Baptiste Gaspard Debureau was the first mime to play Pierrot as the leading character, supplanting Harlequin.

The Valencia College Theater will present a new adaptation of "The Duchess of Malfi", premiering Feb.14, and running through Feb. 24.

Seattle Shakespeare Company will celebrate 20 years of free Shakespeare in the parks this summer with productions of the Henry V and The Tempest. Performances of both productions will begin on Thursday, July 11 and will run through Sunday, August 11, 2013.

In honor of comedy legend Carl Reiner's 75 years in the business, Center Theatre Group presented a staged reading of 'Enter Laughing, The Musical,' which is inspired by Reiner's experiences as a young man struggling to break into theatre in New York. The one night only event directed by Stuart Ross ('Forever Plaid'), was performed at the Mark Taper Forum on Monday, January 28, 2013.

Fresh off Want and Need, Maria Riboli will direct John Pastore's explosive new family drama, Family of Strangers. Previews begin February 27th before an opening March 1st. Performances run through March 16th at Roy Arias Stage II, formerly the Turtle Shell Theater, at 300 West 43rd Street, 4th Floor.

The 4th Street Theatre will present the New York Premiere of the critically acclaimed one-man show, The Play About The Coach, written and performed by Paden Fallis and directed by Tamara Fisch. The Play About The Coach runs from February 27 to March 17, 2013 in a limited engagement at the 4th Street Theatre, located at 83 East 4th Street between 2nd Avenue and Bowery in New York City. Previews begin February 27 for a March 2 opening.

Jujamcyn Theaters (Jordan Roth, President) and True Colors Theatre Company (Kenny Leon, Co-Founding Artistic Director) have announced the 5th Annual August Wilson Monologue Competition will take place on Monday, May 6th at 7:00 p.m. at the August Wilson Theatre (245 West 52nd Street). The event, which is free and open to the public, features high school students from Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, Pittsburgh and Seattle performing monologues by the late, legendary American playwright.
