Signature Theatre's OLD HATS Announces One Week ExtensionJanuary 30, 2013Signature Theatre has announced a one-week extension for the world premiere of OLD HATS, created and performed by Tony Award winners Bill Irwin and David Shiner, with music by and featuring Nellie McKay, and directed by Tina Landau. The production will now play through Sunday, April 7. The production will begin performances on February 12 and open on March 4 in The Irene Diamond Stage at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues). Tickets during the extension week are $75 each.
Bay City Players Announces Youtheatre RegistrationJanuary 30, 2013Bay City Players Youtheatre will hold registration for its 2013 Season on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. (doors open at 9:30 a.m.) at Bay City Players, 1214 Columbus Avenue in Bay City. Performances are June 13 - June 15, 2013. This program is open to those students in grades 3-9, and is limited to 160 participants. Registration is $35.00, and includes a t-shirt.

Violinist Marianne Martinoli Wins BSO Young Artist CompetitionJanuary 30, 2013The Bainbridge Symphony Orchestra has announced the 2013 winner of the BSO's 2013 Young Artist Competion - Marianne Martinoli, violin, age 15 from Monroe. Pianist Benjamin Salman of Seattle was awarded second place for his performance of the first movement of Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 5 in E-flat major, "Emperor." The judges also announced two Honorable Mentions given to pianists Mya King, from Silverdale, for her performance of Albeniz' Concierto Fantastico, mvt 3, Allegro, and to Michael Lee, from Issaquah, for his performance of Liszt's Totentanz.
