The board of directors of the Friends of Lied has announced its new members for 2012-2014. The Friends of Lied supports the mission of the Lied Center for Performing Arts-- to educate, inspire and entertain the people of Nebraska through the performing arts. Friends of Lied members live across the State of Nebraska but join together to support Nebraska's Home for the Arts.

The 8th Annual Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival (TOsketchfest) has announced that Bruce McCulloch of The Kids in the Hall will bring his original show, Young Drunk Punk, to the Randolph Theatre - for one night only - on Monday, March 11 at 8pm, as part of the 2013 Festival. Young Drunk Punk will mark Bruce's first solo performance in Toronto in over 10 years.

WaterTower Theatre Producing Artistic Director Terry Martin announced the cast for The Ugly One which will be performed at the 2013 Out of the Loop Fringe Festival. The cast includes Montgomery Sutton as Lette, Jeff Swearingen as Karlmann, Ted Wold as Scheffler and Natalie Young as Fanny. Directed by Terry Martin, the play by Marius von Mayenburg, will be performed at the Out of the Loop Fringe Festival on March 7, 9, 10, 13, 15 and 16.

Broadway In Chicago has announced that individual tickets for the national tour of the explosive Broadway hit AMERICAN IDIOT called "wonderfully raucous" and "emotionally charged" by The New York Times and "flat-out electrifying" by the Boston Globe, will go on-sale to the public Friday, Feb. 15, 2013 at 10 a.m. AMERICAN IDIOT will play the Cadillac Palace Theatre (151 West Randolph Street) for one week only, April 16 - 21, 2013.

New England Conservatory of Music (NEC) proudly announces the live streaming of two events at NEC's Pierce Hall on Thursday, February 14, 2013, during the Afghanistan National Institute of Music's (ANIM's) NEC residency, adding a global element to the Academy's debut US tour. The two events: a panel discussion on launching a music school featuring ANIM founder Dr. Ahamad Sarmast (the first Afghan with a doctorate in music), and a lecture performance on the Academy's native music and music traditions provide a rare opportunity to hear about these topics from the Academy's founder, faculty and musicians.

Near Water's Edge, the New London Maritime Society's first special exhibition of 2013, features artist Denny Moers's innovative photographic monoprints investigating concepts of water's various manifestations in landscape from dams, rivers, lakes and flooded fields. The exhibition opened January 26, and has been extended to run through March 10, 2013, at the Custom House Maritime Museum, 150 Bank Street, New London, Connecticut.

Jacob's Pillow Dance and MASS MoCA co-present world-renowned contemporary ballet ensemble Les Ballets Jazz de Montreal March 2-3 at MASS MoCA's Hunter Center for the Performing Arts. The Montreal-based dance company blends a variety of dance styles, influences, and music in three diverse works by prominent, international choreographers: Wen Wei Wang of Canada, Spain's Cayetano Soto, and Israeli-American dancemaker Barak Marshall. This co-presentation coincides with the final month of MASS MoCA's Oh, Canada exhibit, the largest survey of Canadian contemporary art ever produced outside of Canada.
