Following the success of last year's recording of Gershwin's Piano Concerto and Rhapsody in Blue, conductor Riccardo Chailly and pianist Stefano Bollani return with an album of jazz-inspired classical works, including two world-premiere recordings. The album, which was recorded live at the Gewandhaus, Leipzig, will be released on May 22, 2012.

Andrew Potter is a video producer, musician, performer and multimedia storyteller. He spent 15 years as a juggler and street performer in San Francisco. His work with Wheeler Cole as the High Street Circus earned them 1st prize in the San Francisco Street Performers Competition, as well as winners of the "Premio Strada" performing competition in Milano, Italy and numerous tours in Japan and Canada.

The only thing more run down than the Uptown Chicago donut shop is its owner. Despondent, disengaged, and out of touch, Arthur doesn't even register the vandalism of his store. Even the colorful array of characters in the neighborhood can't bring him out of his shell - the local bag lady, the Russian video store owner next door, the two cops checking out the damage. Only when charismatic young Franco Wicks enters the store and practically forces himself into being hired does the spark of life begin to take hold for Arthur. Brilliant but carrying secrets, Franco's troubles crash into Arthur's sheltered world and force him to finally take a stand.

The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra has announced the third annual Rapido! Composition Contest - a competition founded in 2009 by the Atlanta Chamber Players and the Antinori Foundation to promote new chamber music compositions and encourage new compositions by underrepresented composers of all levels of experience. The winner will receive a commission for a full orchestral work to be premiered by the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra in spring of 2014.
