The world-premiere new play KING'S RIVER tells the intertwining stories of people living in a fictional small town in the American South, written by Andrew Rosenberg and Ean Miles Kessler and directed by David Delaney. KING'S RIVER will begin previews May 23 prior to the official press opening of Thursday, May 24 at the Medicine Show Theatre (549 West 52nd St., 3rd Floor) in Manhattan.

Students from the Daniels-Mardak Boys and Girls Club will perform FOLK TALES FOR ALL FOLK on Friday, May 18 at 6 p.m. at the Milwaukee Youth Arts Center, 325 West Walnut Street in downtown Milwaukee. The performance will feature stories, music, dance, puppetry and more. There is no cost for this performance and the public is invited and encouraged to attend.

HERO Theatre has just announced that William H. Macy, star of Showtime's Shameless and Academy Award-nominated for Fargo, will star in a benefit reading of Tennessee Williams' "Small Craft Warnings", directed by John Levey. The presentation will take place in Los Angeles, Summer 2012. This will mark HERO Theatre's west coast premiere.

The 12th annual Crown Center Antique Festival is set for June 9-10. More than 150 booths of unique items will fill Crown Center Square at 2450 Grand Boulevard from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday. There is no admission fee.

The American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) today announced an one week extension to the run of Woody Sez, described as 'a musical tapestry of the American folk hero's life and songs,' devised by David M. Lutken with Nick Corley, performed by David M. Lutken, Darcie Deaville, Helen Jean Russell, and Andy Teirstein, directed by Nick Corley. Performances now will run through Saturday, June 3rd at the Loeb Drama Center, 64 Brattle Street, Cambridge.

Three-time Tony® Award and Drama Desk nominee Kevin Chamberlin (Dirty Blonde, Seussical, The Addams Family) has stepped into the role of Carl in Michael Hollinger's Opus, replacing previously announced Adam Arkin. The L.A. Theatre Works production takes place at UCLA's James Bridges Theater, where six public performances, May 17 -20, will be recorded for radio broadcast. Also in the cast are Jonathan Adams (Bones), Jere Burns (Justified, Burn Notice), Steven Culp (Desperate Housewives) and Liza Weil (The Gilmore Girls, Scandal).
