Lysistrata Jones began preview performances Saturday, November 12th at the Walter Kerr Theatre and will officially open on December 14, 2011. Written by Tony nominee Douglas Carter Beane and Lewis Flinn, Lysistrata Jones is directed and choreographed by Tony nominee Dan Knechtges. Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS' 23rd Annual Gypsy of the Year, which was presented Monday, December 5 and today, Tuesday, December 6 at the New Amsterdam Theatre, featured performances by 17 of the hottest Broadway and Off-Broadway shows, a 40-year reunion of the original Broadway cast of Grease, a tribute to national touring companies and appearances by more than 300 actors, singers and dancers.

As previously announced, Ghost The Musical on Broadway will star its UK leads Richard Fleeshman and Caissie Levy as Sam and Molly, when it premieres this Spring at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. They will be joined by Bryce Pinkham as Carl Bruner and newcomer Da'Vine Joy Randolph as Oda Mae Brown. Preview performances will begin on Thursday, March 15, 2012. ELF The Broadway Musical cast performed music from the hit show and cast recording for the 'Live at Barnes & Noble' series at the flagship store in New York City today, December 5th. The event featured special performances and a CD signing from cast members Sebastian Arcelus, Amy Spanger, Beth Leavel, Matthew Gumley and Matthew Schechter, along with additional members of the original Broadway cast. The Tony Award®-winning musical, PRISCILLA QUEEN OF THE DESERT, produced by "The Divine Miss M" Bette Midler, is collaborating with the makeup line NYC New York Color for a special makeup line inspired by PRISCILLA - "Color Your World: Makeup for Everyone." The line consists of eye and lip makeup, including mascara, eye shadow, lip stain and lip gloss, available exclusively in select Duane Reade stores throughout NYC through January 2012.

Manhattan Theatre Club has announced that Tony Award winner Adriane Lenox will return to MTC this spring in REGRETS, the new play by Matt Charman. This world premiere production will be directed by Carolyn Cantor (After The Revolution, for which she recently received the Callaway award, and Pumpgirl). REGRETS will now begin previews Thursday, March 8, 2012 and open Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at MTC at New York City Center - Stage I.

As previously reported, among the next round of hits to get the GLEE treatment include a mash up of Destiny Child's 'Survivor' and Gloria Gaynor's 'I Will Survive', and Toby Keith's latest hit, 'Red Solo Cup', featured on his latest album 'Clancy's Tavern.' The newest epiosode of GLEE airs on FOX December 6 and 8pm EST.

BroadwayWorld has learned that Lauren Kennedy (Spamalot, Side Show, Sunset Blvd., Vanities) will lead readings of the new musical, The Emma Woodhouse Single Girls Guide, a stage re-imagination of Jane Austen's 1815 novel, Emma.

Parenting magazine presented a Lythgoe Family Production of the holiday Panto 'A Snow White Christmas,' running November 30-December 18 at the El Portal Theatre. Last night, November 30 makred the opening night gala benefiting LA's BEST.

Additional principal casting has been announced for the upcoming new musical REBECCA, based on the classic novel by Daphne Du Maurier novel, opening on Broadway Sunday, April 22 at The Broadhurst Theatre. Joining Sierra Boggess (previously announced for the leading role of "I") are Tam Mutu (Love Never Dies in the West End) as Maxim de Winter, Karen Mason (Sunset Boulevard, Mamma Mia!) as Mrs. Danvers, James Barbour (Beauty and the Beast, A Tale of Two Cities) as Jack Favell, John Dossett (Gypsy) as Frank Crawley, Donna English (Lend Me A Tenor) as Beatrice de Winter and Nick Wyman (Les Miserables) as Giles. Previews will begin Tuesday, March 27.

The Biblical-inspired musical Children of Eden, by Stephen Schwartz and John Caird is to be revived in the West End for one night only in a spectacular star-studded charity gala at the Prince of Wales?Theatre on Sunday 29 January at 7pm.

Roundabout Theatre Company in association with Don Gregory, announced that Jim Parsons (Elwood P. Dowd), Jessica Hecht (Veta Louise Simmons) and Charles Kimbrough (William R. Chumley, M.D.) starring in a new Broadway production of the Pulitzer Prize winning comedy Harvey by Mary Chase and directed by Scott Ellis.
