Jessica Lewis Jessica has worked in theater for nearly ten years. She has worked in theatrical production for the producers of STOMP, DAMN YANKEES, NUNSENSE, DINNER WITH FRIENDS and more, and for over 5 years has been involved in the Whoopi Goldberg-produced White Noise, having discovered the production at the 2006 New York Musical Theatre Festival. She has since helped foster its growth through multiple large-scale workshops and two major commercial productions as an Associate Producer. After dedicating many years to theatrical and live entertainment production work that has taken her all over the world in 2009 she assumed the post of Senior Managing Editor at BroadwayWorld.com, the largest theater site on the net, for which she controls operations, routinely interviews Broadway's A-list talent and films/edits a bulk of the sites popular BWW TV content. She is a graduate of Brown University and has worked professionally in production for the Brown University Department of Theatre, Speech and Dance, Rights and Reasons Theatre, the New York Theatre Workshop and more.

As BroadwayWorld previously reported on November 2, award-winning Leslie Jordan, celebrated as one of the funniest men in Hollywood, is set to take the West End by storm in 2011 with the transfer from New York of his acclaimed one-man show, MY TRIP DOWN THE PINK CARPET. We have now learned that the show will play the Apollo Theatre in February.

Hamingson, Executive Director) announced ticket information today for the third Public Forum event, 'The Public Forum: Sondheim/Kushner,' held at the New York University's Skirball Center on Monday, November 29 at 8 p.m. Curated by Jeremy McCarter, The Public Forum is an exciting new series of lectures, debates and conversations that showcase leading voices in the arts, politics and the media. Tickets are $25 and currently on sale to Public Theater members. Any remaining single tickets will go on sale on Wednesday, November 17.

Bells Are Ringing is directed and choreographed by Kathleen Marshall with music direction by Rob Berman and stars Kelli O'Hara and Will Chase.

The producers of the 2008 Tony and Grammy Award-winning Best Musical In The Heights are happy to announce that original cast members Christopher Jackson and Seth Stewart will join Lin-Manuel Miranda and return for the musical's final weeks on Broadway at the Richard Rodgers Theatre (226 West 46th Street). As previously announced In The Heights will play its final Broadway performance Sunday, January 9, 2011 at 7pm, with Seth Stewart re-joining the cast on Monday, December 6, Christopher Jackson re-joining the cast on Monday, December 20, and Tony Award winner Lin-Manuel Miranda re-joining the cast on Saturday, December 25, 2010. All three original stars will play through the final performance on Sunday, January 9, 2011.

On Monday, November 8th, the VH1 Save The Music Foundation honored Julie Andrews along with Grammy® Award Winners John Legend, John Mayer and The ASCAP Foundation. Paul Williams, legendary songwriter and President of The ASCAP Foundation, accepted on behalf of The Foundation. Additionally, Natasha Bedingfield, a member of the VH1 Save The Music Alumni Ambassador Group, performed and the program for the evening, presented by LG Mobile Phones celebrated music as a universal language that shapes our life stories with a special tribute to the 45th Anniversary of Rodgers & Hammerstein's The Sound of Music by Kristin Chenoweth. One of the most beloved and enduring characters in the history of American popular culture is aiming to finally make her way to the Broadway stage. Hazel - the saucy maid whose wry attitude, infallible wisdom and heart of gold has captured the hearts of millions for more than 60 years - will be in the spotlight again in an exciting new Broadway musical with music by composer Ron Abel and lyrics by Chuck Steffan. The veteran duo has acquired the rights to Hazel from the estate of creator Ted Key and are hoping to bring the show to the Great White Way in 2011.
