Adam Hills is back from the UK and will be hitting the road with a national tour of Happyism - his highly anticipated first solo show in three years. Happyism will debut at the iconic Princess Theatre during the Melbourne International Comedy Festival then head to Hobart, Perth, Canberra, Brisbane, Adelaide and Sydney.

One of our greatest comedy exports, Adam had a mammoth 2012. The 2012 European summer culminated in the greatest Paralympic Games ever. Adam Hills was front and centre of this historic moment as the host of Channel 4's The Last Leg, a daily and different review of the ground-breaking coverage of the Games, challenging the perceptions of disability. The success of The Last Leg gave rise to Adam hosting Channel 4's alternative to the Queen's Christmas Day message at The End of last year - a first for an Australian. Adam Hills is also the only Australian to have ever had his own stand-up show on UK TV, Channel 4's Adam Hills Stand Up Live (2012).

Hills has been a prolific force on Australian TV - a five time Gold Logie nominee and host of two hit ABC1 shows, Spicks and Specks and Adam Hills In Gordon Street Tonight. But when Adam isn't dominating the Australian TV landscape he is usually travelling in the world, mic in hand, in his day job as a globetrotting stand-up comedian.

On returning to Australia with his brand new live stand-up show Adam said:

"I'm happiest when I'm on stage doing stand-up comedy. I grew up idolising Billy Connolly, Bill Cosby and Robin Williams. All I ever wanted to be was a stand-up comic. It's time to dust off the notebook, start panicking, and get back out on tour again. Doing what makes me happy"

Having been nominated for its top gong three times, Adam is a favourite at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, the biggest comedy festival in the world, selling out houses and landing rave reviews. He is generally based in London for the second half of the year touring the UK, Ireland and Europe and the prestigious Montréal Just For Laughs festival, where he has performed more times than any other comedian.

The Last Leg is currently on air Wednesday's at 9:30pm on ABC1 and Adam will be back fronting Adam Hills Tonight later in the year.

It's only a matter of time before we lose Adam Hills to the world - so get in quick!
