In May 2011, the University of Adelaide Theatre Guild will award its inaugural Artistic Director Grant.

The grant is valued at $30,000 and will provide a talented theatre director with a platform to continue their development towards a full-time professional career while influencing the artistic direction and future success of The Theatre Guild.

This grant represents a unique opportunity for a theatre director to continue developing their craft within a dynamic and exciting organisation.
For nearly 75 years, The Theatre Guild has staged an eclectic mix of classics, modern masterpieces, and new writing. During that time, many successful Australian theatre practitioners have worked and grown with the company.

The Guild is very proud to continue its ongoing commitment to the development of artists and theatre within South Australia.

Applications for The Theatre Guild's Artistic Director Grant close on Thursday 31 March 2011 and interested directors should contact the Administrator, Melanie Hibberd, for further details via melanie.hibberd@adelaide.edu.au
