The Listies Come to Melbourne Festival Kids Weekend

For four shows only, The Listies (formerly known as The List Operators for Kids) bring their unique brand of kidult entertainment (for kids and their adults) to Melbourne Festival.

In the tradition of The Goons (kids ask your parents), Earworms is recorded live as a podcast which the audience can then download for free (via the interwebz - parents ask your kids) when they get home and listen to it again and again and again...

The Listies - Matt Kelly and Richard Higgins - forgo the usual pitfalls of kids' entertainment like fairies and princesses and instead stuff their shows with all the highbrow things that kids really love like fart jokes and vomiting. 100% education free, The Listies' philosophy is to make their entire audience (adults included) laugh as many times as they can in fifty minutes.

The Listies have spent the past few years performing shows all over the world, collecting adoring young fans and gaining critical acclaim in Edinburgh, Ireland, Malaysia, New Zealand and in every capital of Australia. Previous shows that have expanded the tiny minds of underage audiences include The List Operators for Kids do Compooters and More Fun than a Wii, the latter being the only show aimed at kids to be nominated for the prestigious Barry Award at the Melbourne Comedy Festival.

Earworms is part of Kids Weekend: a sensational program of events in the middle weekend of this year's Melbourne Festival, created specifically for the budding art-appreciators out there.
