The Curtin Presents a Collection of Events for International Women's Day
By: Stephi Wild

This International Women's Day, Magnets & Friends, Levi's and The Curtin present a collection of powerhouse artists who are taking the music world by storm on a local and national level, all of whom encompass the diversity that IWD celebrates. This whole-venue event will take place after the IWD march, on March 8th at 7.30pm at The John Curtin Hotel. The event is proudly supported by Levi's, with proceeds going to Girls Rock!; whose goal is to give female, trans, non-binary and gender diverse youth empowerment through music camps and workshops.
The line-up will feature four live acts, a spoken-word artist and a stellar collection of DJs playing on both floors. The evening will be going out with a bang with the formidable MISS BLANKS - this unapologetic force of nature who calls Brisbane home is taking stages across Australia by storm; most recently giving a string of dynamite performances on the Laneway Festival circuit. She is an outspoken ambassador for safe space and has been described as the new face of Australian hip hop. We can't wait to see her grace the Curtin stage and serve up some fire.
