By: Jul. 15, 2009

Sydney Theatre Company presents Once And For All We're Gonna Tell You Who We Are So Shut Up and Listen Produced by Ontroerend Goed, Kopergietery and Richard Jordan Productions Ltd 14 to 29 August 2009.

Opening Night Friday 14 August at 8pm.Wharf 2, Sydney Theatre Company, Pier 4 Hickson Rd, Walsh Bay (Also at the Arts House, Melbourne from 6 to 11 August 2009.) Sydney Theatre Company presents the theatrical hit of the 2008 Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Once And For All We're Gonna Tell You Who We Are So Shut Up And Listen from internationally renowned Belgian theatre company, Ontroerend Goed, producers of The Smile Off Your Face at Sydney Festival earlier this year.

Theoriginal Belgian production is at Wharf 2 from 14 to 29 August. Once And For All We're Gonna Tell You Who We Are So Shut Up And Listen caused a sensation in Edinburgh, earning 5 star reviews and a slew of awards, including a Fringe First and Herald Angel, for The company and the young cast it had broughttogether from a youth centre in Ghent, Belgium, all aged between 14 and 18 years.

With all the wild, frenzied energy of adolescence the performers on stage initially appear to conform to stereotypical notions of teenage behaviour; getting high, spitting, kissing and scrapping. They're sometimes rebellious, occasionally aggressive, vulnerable, sweet and rude.

What emerges from the chaos is a highly original, life affirming, complex vision and celebration of what it means to be young.
