QV Melbourne Creates BIG Change For Small Change On 8/17

For one day only, on Friday 17 August 2018, QV Melbourne will host a community event that aims to give back to the local community and make a difference to the lives of local children, by supporting the important work of The Royal Children's Hospital Foundation Melbourne.

Up to 1,500 children aged under 10 are admitted to hospitals throughout Australia every day[1]. Raising money for local hospitals to support families is therefore as important to our local communities as ever.

After the success of last year's event, QV Melbourne is one of ten Dexus managed shopping centres nationally that will charge a gold coin donation upon entry to the precinct on this community day. Funds raised will directly support children's health care in each local area. All funds raised at QV on Friday 17 August will be donated to support the sponsor a bed program, enhancing the care provided to sick children and supporting the hospital in advancing paediatric healthcare, at The Royal Children's Hospital Melbourne.

"Supporting Melbourne families with young children is central to QV. We see this as an important way to continue our effort in giving back and making a difference in our community," says QV Melbourne Regional Property Manager, Lisa Fleming.

The QV precinct will be transformed with 'BIG Change for small change!' theming, special offers from retailers and a program of free entertainment and events.

"The response we've had from our retailers, local suppliers and media partners once again this year has been overwhelming. Everyone has come together to create a full program of entertainment, offers and fun for the community to enjoy. We invite everyone to join us and raise much needed funds for local children's health services on this day," says Lisa Fleming.
The 'BIG Change for small change' program of entertainment and events includes:

• Donation collections at each major entry point
• A dedicated 'Pink Party' in QV Square Pink Party featuring:
  • 30 pink flamingos all lined up for games of Flamingo Toss from 9am - 7pm
  • Free pink lattes courtesy of QV retailer The Squisito Bar - 9am - 1pm & 4:30pm - 7pm
  • Pink Neon Instagram moments 9am - 7pm
  • Free pink churros courtesy of the QV San Churro store 10am - 4pm
