'Let's Get It On, The Life and Music of Marvin Gaye', following brilliant reviews and due to demand, another performance has been added at 6pm on Sunday 25 May, which will now be the final show of the Melbourne season.

Celebrating the life of Marvin Gaye, this bio show takes you on a journey of this multi-talented musician, singer and songwriter, whose records sold in the millions and who continues to influence a legion of artists the world over.

Starring Helpmann Award winning singer and actor Bert LaBonté and introducing singer, songwriter, pianist, Jude Perl, Let's Get It On will be backed by The Funk City Band (some of Australia's finest and funkiest musicians) and is presented by The Producers of The Man In Black - The Johnny Cash Story and At Last - The Etta James Story.

Let's Get It On features some of Marvin's most beloved songs including 'I Heard It Through The Grapevine', 'Ain't No Mountain High Enough', It Takes Two, his stunning spiritual masterwork 'What's Going On', the Grammy Award winning 'Sexual Healing' and reminds us of the classics Marvin wrote - i.e. How Sweet It Is - To Be Loved By You, Wherever I Lay My Hat, Dancing In The Street, many many more of his classic hits.

Marvin Gaye is acknowledged as The Prince of Motown - The Prince of Soul with the magnitude of his influence on R&B and soul music recognized when he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1987.
