Isabella Valette Announced At Melbourne International Comedy Festival

Isabella's not afraid of comedy. She's a kids entertainer. And kids are the worst hecklers of all. One child said to her, "You're not a real clown, you're just an old human." Which begs the question: what is a real clown?

We all know performers work terrible jobs to stay afloat, and Isabella's done them all.Harassed as a pudding in shopping centres, forced to dance around children's tables as they eat at parties dressed as a poo emoji, turning up to christenings as a clown... It was a big fall from a top drama school in the UK to a backyard in suburban Melbourne dressed as an elf with a broken-down car and no phone. But anything for a gig, right?

In this show, Isabella lifts the lid on the ridiculous and publicly embarrassing extents artists will go to, with unbelievably chaotic and hilarious true stories. This show promises to be utterly unique, unlike any other story in the comedy festival. Lean in to the odd, true world of clowns, kids entertainers, desperate parents, perfect princesses and never before told stories, straight from the front line and the horse's mouth (yeah, she really did dress up as a horse once too). How do clowns really drive with those shoes on? Who is 'Senior Clown?' What's the weirdest thing a parent has ever done? And, more importantly, what is the worst gig Isabella has ever done - how far will she go?

A multi-talented performer, Isabella is a professionally trained singer, dancer, actor and improviser whose talents extend to writing critically acclaimed solo shows that feature hilarious characters, witty original songs, insightful observations, sharp tongued stand up and extremely entertaining true stories that twist and turn into chaotic, hysterical and unforgettable ends. Isabella is on the rise as one of Australia's up and coming talents, with a unique skill set that makes her stand out from the crowd. She trained at the prestigious Arts Educational Schools London, which is presided over by Andrew Lloyd Webber, and is a senior member of two of Australia's top improvisation troupes.

This production opens for the first time in Melbourne on April 8 - 22. Bookings recommended.
