Margaret was a French Princess and an English Queen. Demonized in her time and mythologized through history, she has become more legend than lady. But who was Queen Margaret; where was the divide between personal and personal and political? How did she become the first she wolf of France? 'She Wolf' is a dramatic exploration of the infamous Queen as presented by Shakespeare in 4 monologues that laid the foundation for a mythical monster - parallels we still see today in fictional characters like Cersei Lannister from Game of Thrones or Claire Underwood, where the female character is portrayed much less sympathetically than her male counterpart.

Gillian English is an award winning Canadian actor, storyteller, comedian and writer living in Australia.

"I have always been drawn to the character, because she was so real, so viscerally evil, that as a character, she jumped off the page and throttled you by the throat. But as I grew older, and learned to look more critically at the way we judge women in power, the scrutiny with which we examine them, and the lies by which their character is manipulated; I realized that there had to be more to Margaret than being a character in oft forgot, seldom performed plays."

'She Wolf' has a limited run from 18-24 September. Book tickets now for this unique world premiere show.
