DHEEPAN, LOVE AT FIRST CHILD and More Highlight Alliance Francaise French Film Festival's 2016 Programme

Following the overwhelming success of its 2015 season, the Alliance Française French Film Festival will return to Palace NOVA Eastend Cinemas Adelaide from 31 March 2016, with an exceptional array of contemporary French cinema.

Presented by the Alliance Française in association with the Embassy of France in Australia, uniFrance Films and the gracious support of globally renowned Principal Sponsor, Peugeot, this cherished cultural event, which is proudly celebrating its 27th season, will delight, stimulate and indulge those seeking the ultimate in French cinema.

At the Festival's helm, Artistic Director, Emmanuelle Denavit-Feller, has sourced a truly thrilling line-up of 48 titles featuring the acting talents of Fanny Ardant, Louise Bourgoin, Patrick Bruel, Valeria Bruni-Tedeschi, Isabelle Carré, Vincent Cassel, Cécile De France, Julie Delpy, Catherine Deneuve, Gérard Depardieu, Jean Dujardin, Catherine Frot, Isabelle Huppert, Tchéky Karyo, Sandrine Kiberlain, Mélanie Laurent, Vincent Lindon, Fabrice Luchini, Noémie Lvovsky, Benoît Poelvoorde, Denis Podalydès, Audrey Tautou, Karin Viard and many more 'artistes' from a film industry acknowledged as one of Europe's most prolific and successful.

Highlights of the 2016 programme, which will be showcased across nine evocatively named sections, include director Jacques Audiard's 2015 Palme d'Or winning masterpiece Dheepan, as well as A Perfect Man, Love at First Child, Marguerite, Mon Roi, First Growth, La Belle Saison, Taj Mahal, Un Plus Une and Valley of Love.

In addition to the fabulous contemporary films to be unveiled, the 27th Festival will also present five of France's most popular television shows, screening the first two episodes of each as one session per title. This selection will include the epic political series, Baron Noir, the WW2 drama, Un Village Français, the espionage thriller, The Bureau and the hit comedy, Call My Agent!
