Following a highly successful tour of Kate Middleton Show Queen in 2013, British actress and comedian Katie Reddin-Clancy brings GRACE to the Adelaide Fringe Festival and the Melbourne International Comedy Festival in 2018. This show is a witty, passionate and captivating call to embrace and be true to yourself.

Repressed femininity explodes onto the stage as Alfie steps out for the first time as Zora. Alfie has had a successful career as part of a comedy double act with ex-partner Grace. She's always been forced to play the male parts, but now it's time for her to play the role she feels comfortable in, and for Zora to take centre stage.

Set in a haunted regional theatre, in the part of the entertainment industry no one wants to know, creativity fights to survive. GRACE is home to a host of characters including Sheryl - the very British venue hostess, Anna Clamber - the Anna Wintour-esq power hungry theatrical agent, Audrey - the Joyce Grenville tribute act, her ex-wife Grace and, of course, Zora's alter ego Alfie.

GRACE will follow a comedian's journey right through to her first time on stage identifying as a non-binary performer. It's about power, love, letting go and daring to believe.

This captivating solo theatre show, directed by Peter Blackburn, is stand-up comedy with a difference. Reddin-Clancy uses creative costumes and innovative design to move from character to character exploring gender, mental health in the arts, spiritualism and the importance of supporting the arts industry.

Katie Reddin-Clancy comments, GRACE's discussion of gender was inspired by one of my dear friends who came out as transgender. I was touched by the issues that she faced and the ferocity with which she faced them. I can't wait to get back to Adelaide Fringe and Melbourne Comedy Festival, and hope to return with a show to make them proud.

These Australia runs mark the start of GRACE's international tour. The production will travel to the UK for the Brighton Fringe in May and June 2018.
