ACE OF HEARTS Comes to The MC Showroom
![]()
The Western world has become so sex positive, there is no place for not wanting it. 1% of the population has no sexual attraction but the world struggles to believe it's real. Ace of Hearts is a confronting musical comedy about the over-sexualisation of modern Western societies.
The age of sexual liberation brings new expectations. Keira couldn't follow the rules, and was cast aside. Now, with new friends to lead the way, Keira is determined to play the game. She still feels no desire to kiss the most beautiful men or women, let alone take one of them to bed. However, she's willing to sacrifice anything to avoid being outcast again. Exploring themes of coming out, suicide and sexual assault, Ace of Hearts addresses the pressures society places on young adults.
Written by Natasha Pearson and Hayden Dun, Ace of Hearts will be directed by Mudit Dhami. The cast include Rachel Findlay (Katharine Kiss me Kate (Adamson Theatre Company) as Keira, and Luke Peverelle (Aaron First Date (HYSI Productions) as Michael.
"We wanted to create a work that challenged the importance of sex in our lives." - Natasha Pearson & Hayden Dun.
