Tickets are now on sale for the musical "Annie Get Your Gun", presented by the Hill Country Community Theatre. Reservations can be made by calling (830) 798-8944, online at www.theHCCT.org, or at the box office (12:00 noon to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday).
The musical, with music and lyrics by Irving Berlin, written by Herbert and Dorothy Fields, tells the story of the legendary Annie Oakley, the best shot around. Buffalo Bill persuades this sharpshooter to join his Wild West Show. She falls for dashing shooting ace Frank Butler, who headlines the show, and soon eclipses him. Butler joins a rival show but is pitted against Annie in a final shoot-out. The show features timeless hits like "Anything You Can Do," "You Can't Get a Man with a Gun," and the song that has become the anthem of all things theatre: "There's No Business Like Show Business."
"Annie Get Your Gun" will be presented by the Hill Country Community Theatre, 4003 W FM 2147, Cottonwood Shores, TX 78657. The show will open on July 21 and run through July 31. Performances will be on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at7:30 PM and Sunday matinees at 2:15 PM. Admission is $25 for adults and $12 students with a valid ID.
