SAY Si to Celebrate Release of SOMETHING TO SAY, 11/12

By:

Now in its 19th year, SAY Sí has grown into one well-oiled machine. Once home to 8 students from one high school in San Antonio, the multidisciplinary arts organization is now a hub of creativity and results - with nearly 200 middle and high school students enrolled, comprehensive multidisciplinary programming and 100% of its students graduating high school and going onto college. This, along with an array of glowing achievements, has garnered national attention from The Wallace Foundation, a leading philanthropy that rates out-of-school time organizations nationwide.

At 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, November 12, 2013, SAY Sí will host an event that showcases this recognition, shedding light on the importance of the arts and arts education with student testimonials and a market research expert presentation. Coinciding with national release of Something to Say: Success Principles for Afterschool Arts Programs from Urban Youth and Other Experts from the Wallace Foundation and Next Level SMG.

"From the cover image, to the title to the reports focus, we are honored and excited that our important work in San Antonio is being showcased on the national level', says Artistic | Executive Director, Jon Hinojosa. "Something to Say is a seminal best practices report that will allow our success principles and more importantly - give others access to replicating our accomplishments."
