It's Friday the 13th and a warrant for your arrest has been issued!

The Hill Country Community Theatre JAIL & BAIL event brings you together with community leaders and ordinary citizens for a common cause... supporting the performing arts.

At this event you, the volunteer "Jailbird", serve time in a mock jail. You will be arraigned before a volunteer judge on trumped-up, outlandish charges, such as "failing to laugh at funny lines during the show" and "smiling too much", then be sentenced to spend time incarcerated in "the slammer" until bail is posted in the form of donations to HCCT.

While the Hill Country Community Theatre JAIL & BAIL is entertaining and enjoyable, remember that the money you and your friends raise goes toward a very important cause... replacing a 20+ year old air conditioning system, establishing more educational programs for children and young adults, replacing 30 year old seating, and having a great time all in the name of your local community theatre!

As a Jailbird of the JAIL & BAIL, you are the star of the event. Once charged with an offense, you must ask family, friends, associates or businesses to bail you out prior to the event by writing a check or, as the internet has put a new spin on the old way of doing things, by going online towww.theHCCT.org and clicking on the "JAIL & BAIL" link. By raising bail prior to the lock-up date,May 13, you can forgo the lock-up, but more fun, and photo ops, will be had by coming down to the hoosegow! We will have a live remote at the site from KBEY Radio and will be taking publicity photos if you want to get in on the fun, or even promote your business.

All desperadoes will be summoned to appear before the Judge on Friday the 13th of May between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM at the Marble Falls City Hall, located at 800 3rd Street, as stated on the arrest warrant. Jailbirds who have not raised their entire bail may bring what they have raised and throw themselves at the mercy of the court. Don't be afraid to collect a higher bail than is listed on your warrant!

Trophies will be awarded to the individual and business that raise the highest bail. Those who raise more than $100 will receive a t-shirt; those who raise less than $100 will receive a drink koozie.

For more information, contact Mrs. Sherri Staley at 830-637-7745. To enjoy a sinister smile by having yourself or someone else "arrested", send an email and a suggested bail amount to director@theHCCT.org.
