Aurora Theatre Funny Fridays Welcomes Comedy Legend Jerry Farber, 8/19

Aurora Theatre Funny Fridays continues its 5th season of club comedy performances on the square in downtown Lawrenceville by welcoming an Atlanta comedy legend. Jerry Farber and Johnny Porrazzo take to the Funny Fridays Stage for with 2 shows on August 19 at 7:15 and 9:15 PM.

About the Show
Nationally known comedian and pianist extraordinaire, Jerry Farber is s legend. One of the Atlanta's most recognized and acclaimed performers, entertaining for over two decades. Jerry stars at local and national comedy clubs, and at various charity and corporate functions all over the country. His style is inspired by both jazz and comedy greats, from Dave Brubeck and Errol Garner to Woody Allen and Mark Russell. Fans have voted Jerry one of the top five celebrities in Atlanta along with Ted Turner and Lewis Grizzard in an Atlanta Constitution/WSB Radio Poll. He was voted Entertainer of the Year by Atlanta Magazine three times.

His unique style of hip piano finesse and warm blooded humor endears him to fans. Best of all, he personalizes each performance, weaving his audience into each routine. He performs at a near exhausting pace that leaves a crowd roaring at his Georgia Redneck Routine and mesmerized by his music. He had a successful eight year run at his own night spot, which, on doctor's orders, he made a non-smoking club. This attracted international recognition by Business Week, The New York Times, The London Times, CNN, and an entry in the Encyclopedia Britannica as the World's first non-smoking night club
