Actor's Express Seeks Teen Performers for SPRING AWAKENING 6/11

Actor's Express, a professional theatre in Atlanta, announces an open call audition for Metro Atlanta teen performers for its upcoming production of the hit Broadway musical Spring Awakening.

To schedule an audition, email Casting Director Sheila Oliver at sheila@actorsexpress.com with three preferred half-hour windows during the above times. You will then be assigned a five minute audition slot during one of those windows. We will do our best to accommodate your request and assign you a time by return email. No phone calls please.

These auditions are FIRST COME/FIRST SERVED. Alternative audition times will not be arranged.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR AUDITIONEES:

Rehearsals begin August 2, 2011. Show opens August 27 and closes October 1. Rehearsals are in the evenings through the week and during the day on weekends.

This open call is for teens aged 16-19 ONLY.

All positions are paid.

Please prepare 16-32 bars of a rock/pop song or a musical theatre song from a show with a rock/pop score. An accompanist will be provided. NO PRE-RECORDED ACCOMPANIMENTS.

Please bring a head shot and resume to the audition.

Parents should be advised that Spring Awakening is a musical about teens that deals with extremely sensitive subject matter.
