Wings2Fly is a relatively new youth theatre company who has filled a niche for young, up and coming actors. Primarily, focusing their attention towards school holiday workshops and productions, Wings2Fly was formed with the aim of giving opportunities to those creative young people who wish to concentrate on developing their acting skills.

Wings2Fly is the brainchild of Alicia Zorkovic with Michelle Nightingale completing the team. Both come with many years of performance experience in professional stage, film, TV and community theatre, and both have been teachers in the performing arts industry for over 25 years. Their expertise and enthusiasm to nurture and hone stagecraft skills in young people is overflowing which only adds to the energy and excitement of this experience.

The weeklong workshop not only culminates in a performance experience on the final day but also really delves into understanding and experiencing the process of being an actor within a production. There is time put into script analysis and character breakdown, working with other actors and making that connection real on stage. The six-day period also includes many different workshops including voice, movement, costuming, headshot photography and a special guest speaker.

Invited professionals in the performing arts industry, imparting knowledge and creative insight that the young people can tap in to, run most workshops. They will be exposed to different techniques, and have the opportunity to explore and discover new abilities. By bringing together like-minded individuals from different parts of Adelaide, we aim to foster a dynamic and supportive environment in which to develop creativity.

Wings2Fly's first production of 'The Audition" in July 2017, was a resounding success. The overwhelming talent at the auditions made it difficult to narrow it down to a cast of only 18. They were all aged between 12 and 18 and came from all over Adelaide.

Our next production will be held over the week of January 8th with two performances of the one act play Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon on Saturday 13th January. The workshop and production will be held at Seymour College in Glen Osmond.

Four narrators attempt to recreate some of the 209 fairy tales of The Brothers Grimm in a wild, fast-paced extravaganza. To make it more difficult, they attempt to combine them into one gigantic fable.

Auditions for our next production are happening now and we are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated 10 - 19 year old actors who would like to explore comedic acting and physical theatre.
