The New York Musical Theater Festival presents Platforms, a new dance piece at The Theater at St. Clement's (423 W. 46th St btw 8th & 9th) on Thursday, October 4 at 9PM and Saturday, October 6 at 1PM.  Tickets are $20 and available at www.nymf.org or 212-352-3101.

"Through a combination of dance, music and dialogue as diverse as the city itself, Platforms unfolds as Nancy (Deborah Yates) and Doug (Matt Anctil), a Midwestern couple, are separated on a crowded New York subway platform. Now, they'll each find new adventures, friends, and perspectives before they find each other," explain press notes.

Tony Nominee Deborah Yates (Contact) and Emmy Award Winner Ted Levy (Black & Blue, Jelly's Last Jam) star in this world premiere dance musical written by Delaney Britt Brewer. Original music is by Brent Lord with direction by Holly-Anne Ruggiero (Best Director, Midtown International Festival 2007). Ron De Jesus, Linda Goodrich, Nick Kenkel, Jeff Shade and Matt Williams each choreograph scenes in their distinctive styles. The five choreographers are given a chance to showcase their talents individually.

Tickets and more information are available for $20 at www.nymf.org or 212-352-3101. The show runs at The Theater at St. Clement's (423 W. 46th St btw 8th & 9th) on October 4 at 9PM and October 6 at 1PM.

Now in its 4th year, The New York Musical Theatre Festival is the largest musical theatre event in America.  NYMF premiered 99 new musicals during its first three seasons, with more than a dozen of these shows transferring to successful off-Broadway and regional productions.  Hailed as "the Sundance of Musical Theatre," NYMF is widely regarded as the premier source for new material and talent discovery.

NYMF is a flagship program of The National Music Theater Network, a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization, and is presented by BroadwayWorld.com in association with amNewYork, Ars Nova, GSD Productions, King Displays, Panasonic Astrovision, Playbill, Variety Magazine and Verizon Wireless, and is proudly supported by Backstage, Barnes & Noble Booksellers, Broadway Bullet, BroadwayBox.com, BroadwayInsider.com, Choice Signs, City Theatricals, Frank & Camille's Fine Pianos, HX Magazine, Port Authority of NY and NJ, Seasons of Savings, Tekserve, TheatreMania.com, TheMENevent, Virgin Megastore and Wybron. NYMF is supported, in part, by an award from the National Endowment for the Arts, and by public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs and the New York State Council on the Arts, a state agency.
