Video: PRIVATE LIVES at Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey
Noël Coward's razor-sharp comedy runs May 16 through June 7, 2026 at the F.M. Kirby Shakespeare Theatre in Madison, New Jersey.
Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey has released first look footage of PRIVATE LIVES, Noël Coward's beloved comedy of manners, now playing through June 7, 2026 at the F.M. Kirby Shakespeare Theatre.
Directed by Michael Stewart Allen, the play follows ex-spouses Elyot and Amanda, who find themselves honeymooning with their new partners in the same French Riviera hotel, setting off a cascade of sparks, insults, and resurging old passions. Sophisticated, fast-paced, and deliciously irreverent, the play turns love, rivalry, and social convention on their heads.
The cast features Britt Michael Gordon as Elyot Chase, Ashley Blanchet as Amanda Prynne, Clark Carmichael as Victor Prynne, Fiona Robberson as Sibyl Chase, and Nicole Lawrie as Louise. The creative team includes Dick Block (scenic design), Hunter Kaczorowski (costumes), Kevin Gartley (lighting), and Steven Beckel (sound), with Rod Kinter serving as fight director.
Tickets range from $45 to $85. For tickets and information, visit shakespearenj.org or call the box office at 973-408-5600. The F.M. Kirby Shakespeare Theatre is located at 36 Madison Avenue, Madison, NJ 07940.
