Video: Barbra Streisand Shares Behind-the-Scenes Video with Laufey for New Duet

In a new video, Barbra Streisand goes behind the scenes with Laufey on a duet version of the latter's Letter To My 13 Year Old Self, which appears on Streisand's upcoming album The Secret Of Life: Partners, Volume 2.

"I love this song," says Streisand in the video. "It was nice to learn that a young artist inspired by jazz greats like Ella Fitzgerald and Billie Holiday was making such a deep connection with her fans. It really gives me hope that the work of these legends can still inspire new listeners."

Laufey also spoke on the genesis of the song, which is addressed to herself as a child: "I would look at a photo of my younger self and just get so emotional knowing that I didn't really dare to dream that big and I wanted to just reach out and give a hug to my younger self and the way I know how is to write a song."

The Secret Of Life: Partners, Volume Two will be released on June 27 and features the performer on a variety of new duets with Josh Groban, Laufey, Paul McCartney, Hozier, and more.

The album also includes "One Heart, One Voice," its only trio, in which Streisand is joined by Wicked star Ariana Grande and Mariah Carey. Serving as a follow-up to her 2014 album "Partners," the new recording will be available on June 27 and is available for pre-order on CD, vinyl, and digital now HERE.
