VIDEO: John Slattery Talks Starring Role in Broadway's THE FRONT PAGE

On this morning's TODAY, John Slattery talked about starring in the current Broadway revival of The Front Page, in which he portrays a veteran newspaper reporter who is trying to get out of the business. During the appearance, the actor explains how his casting for the role arose out of a meeting between himself, co-star Nathan Lane and a couple of cocktails! Watch the video.
Set in the world of the Chicago newspaper business, The Front Page began previews on Tuesday, September 20, 2016, and will play a limited engagement through January 29, 2017. The revival is slated to officially open on October 20, 2016.
The Front Page will feature Nathan Lane as Walter Burns, John Slattery as Hildy Johnson, John Goodman as Sheriff Hartman, Jefferson Mays as Bensinger, Holland Taylor as Mrs. Grant, and Sherie Rene Scott as Mollie Malloy.
