VIDEO: First Video of WE ARE NY PHIL Series Highlights Principal Harp Nancy Allen

Today, the New York Philharmonic releases the first video in a new series, We Are NY Phil, featuring musicians of the Orchestra. The series aims to bring viewers closer to Philharmonic musicians by focusing on their lives outside the concert hall - in New York City and beyond - and following the activities they are most passionate about.

In the first video, Principal Harp Nancy Allen connects the complexity of playing harp to the other love of her life, horseback riding - and how one informs the other.

Other musicians that will be featured this season include hornist Leelanee Sterrett, Principal Cello Carter Brey, and flutist Yoobin Son.

The video series launches the Philharmonic's Instagram TV channel, where future We Are NY Phil videos will be posted.
