The Mama Foundation to Launch Spring 2017 Season with Revival of 'ALIVE!'

Vy Higginsen and The Mama Foundation for The Arts announces their Spring 2017 Season with the revival of the hit musical ALIVE! 55+ and Kickin' at The Dempsey Theater in Harlem, NY on Thursday, April 27, 2017 at 7pm, followed by Saturday matinees on May 6th, 13th and 20th at 1pm.

ALIVE! is a healing journey about the transformative power of song in the lives of people born before the internet became king. Weaving the testimonies of everyday people into a fabric of triumph, ALIVE! lifts ordinary people who have lived extra-ordinary lives- standing strong at 55+ to tell their stories to another generation with the wisdom only age can deliver. This show is not only about overcoming, it is a jamming celebration of the soundtrack of that generation's life, blending Gospel, Jazz, R&B, Doo Wop and Pop music to produce a playlist you will never want to skip.
