On Thursday, July 28th at 8 PM, Lennon will host members of The Creative Coalition and their guests at the performance. Following the show, the audience will be treated to a talk-back session with director Don Scardino and producer Allan McKeown

Joe Pantoliano, Tony Goldwyn, Bob Balaban, Dick Cavett, Olympia Dukakis, Giancarlo Esposito, Marcia Gay Harden, and Steven Van Zandt will attend the performance as guests of the Creative Coalition, which is the leading nonprofit, nonpartisan social and public advocacy organization of the arts and entertainment community. Founded in 1989 by prominent members of the creative community, The Creative Coalition is dedicated to educating and mobilizing its members on issues of public importance, primarily public education, the First Amendment, arts advocacy, and runaway production.

Lennon
began previews at the Broadhurst Theatre on July 7th, and will open on August 4th.
Produced by McKeown, Edgar Lansbury, Clear Channel Entertainment and Jeffrey Sine by arrangement with Lennon's widow Yoko Ono, the biographical musical of the Beatles legend features Scardino's book and direction. "A musical biography, a concert, and a celebration all in one, Lennon takes us on a magical, mythical journey behind the greatest rock legacy and the boldest love story of our time - with words, images and some of the best pop songs ever written. From the Beatles to the Bed-Ins, from his musical partnership with Paul to his life partnership with Yoko, Lennon will bring you back to a time when music could change your soul... and one musician could change the world," according to a press article.

Will Chase (Aida), Chuck Cooper (Caroline, or Change), Julie Danao (Saturday Night Fever), Mandy Gonzalez (Dance of the Vampires), Marcy Harriell (Lucky Duck), Chad Kimball (Into the Woods), Terrence Mann (Les Miserables), Julia Murney (The Wild Party), and Michael Potts (Twelfth Night) play multiple roles in Lennon (including the peace-minded rocker himself), and are backed by an onstage 10-piece band. After mixed word-of-mouth, however, revisions are being made to the show during the preview period.

In addition to songs from the Lennon catalogue, the show includes three of his rare and unpublished songs--"India, India" and "I Don't Want to Lose You" which were never published, and exist only on private recordings, and "Cookin' (in the Kitchen of Love)," which was recorded by Ringo Starr in 1976, but was never recorded by Lennon. Lennon is choreographed by
Joseph Malone, with John Arnone (scenic/ projection), Jane Greenwood (costume), Natasha Katz (lighting) and Bobby Aitken (sound) among the show's design team.

Lennon's playing schedule will be Tuesday - Saturday at 8pm, Wednesday and Saturday at 2pm, and Sunday at 3pm. Tickets, which range from $46.25 to $101.25, are available through Telecharge.com online or by phone at (212) 239-6200.
