The 574 Theatre Company Launches In Michiana

January 5th, 2018 - Founders Alex Price and Joshua Maurer proudly launch The 574 Theatre Company, a new professional theatre company located in "the 574". 574 Theatre seeks to create, inspire, and tell stories to the community members of the 574 community. By producing musicals, plays, and cabarets, the 574 Theatre company hopes to bring high quality theatre to the 574, that not only indulges audience members, but local theatre artists as well.

Artistic Director and Co-Founder, Alex Price says, "Our team at 574 Theatre is so excited to be launching this Non-Profit organization in the heart of St. Joesph County. We see a strong growth and development happening in downtown Mishawaka with new living spaces, restaurants, and store fronts, we want to be a part of the growth of Mishawaka"

Price is a soon to be graduate of Bethel College's Theatre Department. Price has recently directed Godspell and Like Watchmen A World Premier with Bethel College, and has directing credits with The Main Stage, Inc. including West Side Story (Broadway World Best Director of Musical 2015), Addams Family The Musical, and Oliver! The Musical. Price also spent a summer in New York working with kids ages 6-17 in theatre at a summer camp.

Price goes on to say, "I'm ecstatic for the future of our company. We have a very excited season planned for 2018-2019, including four musicals and a play. Each season will consist of a theme that is current and relevant to our world. We strive to create theatre that is not only entertaining, but reflects our world today, and how we might better ourselves as community members."

Adding to the team is Co-Founder and Executive Joshua Louis Maurer. Maurer also is graduating in the spring from Bethel College with his degrees in Theatre Arts and Business Management.
