Celebrate Peter Stone's "lowdown" on 1776 -- the event and the show -- on the Independence Day/Weekend installment of THEATER TALK.

The late Stone, one of the wittiest men on Broadway and the librettist for hit musicals including Woman of The Year,Titanic and 1776, talks about the signing of the Declaration of Independence, as well as wry anecdotes about historical figures ranging from John Adams to Richard Nixon. He also includes valuable tips on how to write the book for a successful Broadway show.

THEATER TALK with Peter Stone, hosted by Michael Riedel of the New York Post and Susan Haskins, will be broadcast on Friday, July 4 at 1am (early Saturday morning) on Thirteen; and on CUNY TV on Saturday 7/5 at 8:30pm,Sunday 7/6 at 12:30pm, and Monday 7/7 at 7:30am, 1:30pm, and 7:30pm.
