THE TAMING OF THE SHREW to Play Two Weeks In Two Venues! Audiences have two more weeks, in two venues, to see Vermont Shakespeare Festival's production of The Taming of the Shrew, a modern take on the 400 year-old comic battle of the sexes. Performances at Champlain College's Alumni Auditorium are August 3 - 5 in Alumni Auditorium, and outdoors on the Circus Lawn at the Shelburne Museum August 9-11. The production is co-directed by Artistic Directors Jena Necrason and John Nagle, and features a company of regional and New York actors, and original designs and music.

Performances at Champlain College are Friday and Saturday nights, August 3 and 4, at 7:30 p.m., and 2 p.m. on Sunday August 5. Alumni Auditorium is on College Street, off the Courtyard. There will be free parking in two lots off Summit Street, behind Schillhammer Hall to the South, and the Summit Lot behind Summit Hall, to the North. There will be signs indicating both locations. There will also be street parking.

Vermont Shakespeare Festival returns to the Circus Lawn at Shelburne Museum for three performances on August 9-11, all at 6 p.m. Doors open at 5 p.m. Bring picnics, chairs and blankets, and the whole family! Children 12 and under are free. Tickets for both Champlain College and Shelburne Museum performances are on sale at FlynnTix, https://flynntix.org. Tickets will also be sold at the door as available.

The Festival is holding a raffle of fabulous prizes! An Essex Culinary Resort overnight for two plus cooking class, an overnight at Hotel Vermont and two pair of tickets to the Flynn Center for their 2018-19 season could be yours for a raffle ticket price of $5, or 5 tickets for $20. Tickets will be sold at the performances, and drawing will be held on August 12. A portion of the raffle proceeds will be donated to Vermont Works for Women.
