THE DIARY OF ANNE FRANK To Be Presented By Avalon Productions
Lucy Wilson leads a cast of nine at The Avalon Theatre in a production directed by Ryan Bowie
Avalon Productions will present the powerful stage adaptation of The Diary of Anne Frank, by Frances Goodrich and Albert Hackett, at The Avalon Theatre from May 15 through May 17, 2026.
This production brings to life one of the most enduring stories of the 20th century. Led by Lucy Wilson and a phenomenal cast of nine regional actors, the play offers an intimate and moving portrayal of the Frank and Van Daan families as they hide from Nazi persecution in a concealed annex in Amsterdam.
"Anne Frank maintained a belief in the goodness of humanity," says director Ryan Bowie. "Her story is a poignant testament to the importance of empathy, and it reminds audiences not to take their freedoms for granted."
Despite the oppressive environment of the secret attic, Anne's voice emerges with remarkable clarity and resilience. The audience follows her through the universal experiences of adolescence-clashing with parents, questioning the world, and experiencing first love-all while grappling with the fear and uncertainty of the Holocaust.
