Strober, Pazakis & More Perform at The Duplex, Feb. 6; Bill Russell Also Featured

On February 6th at 7 PM, the Duplex Cabaret Theatre's Monday Nights, New Voices series will feature performances by Rena Strober (Les Miserables, My Life with Albertine), Kate Pazakis (Newsical: The New Edition, A Broadway Diva Christmas, The Sexless Years), Emily McNamara (Awesome '80s Prom), Emily Drennan (Hunka Hunka Burnin' Love, Toxic Audio) and Mamie Parris (the upcoming Wedding Project), with Bill Russell as guest composer. Scott Alan and Kathy Deitch (Footloose, Wicked) will co-host the evening.

"Last month marked a year since composer Scott Alan set out to produce the monthly series that showcases up and coming talent at the Duplex Cabaret Theatre and teams them with established and up and coming composers in a one night only event. In the year since its debut, many of today's most acclaimed Broadway stars and composers have joined together to honor the New Voices for their exciting achievments and to celebrate their exciting future," state press notes.

One of the highlights of the evening will be a performance of "She's Gone," a song cut from Russell and Henry Krieger's Side Show. The rest of the song list is as follows:

The New Voices series spotlights "lesser-known talents working in New York." The upcoming performance will feature musical direction by Barbara Anselmi.
