Starlight Children’s Foundation Hosts Celebrity Sports Auction 11/1

The Starlight Children's Foundation of NY, NJ and CT will roll out the red carpet for the 22nd consecutive year for the star-studded Celebrity Sports Auction on November 1st at Madison Square Garden from 6 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. The event, attended by over 600 of New York City's greater real estate and business communities, benefits thousands of children who suffer from a wide range of critical, chronic and life-threatening diseases each day. Visit Cancun in a luxury villa, attend the NY Giants training camp or catch a Yankee game from the best seats in the house! The event features a wide range of exciting trips, sports tickets with great seats, golf, dinner and many more distinctive prizes.

The night's festivities include a silent and live auction, an open bar, delicious food and a special awards presentation honoring the careers of exemplary athletes. All proceeds generated at the event will be used to fund the programs and services that Starlight Children's Foundation provides to better the lives of seriously ill children in the NY, NJ, and CT area.

Athlete's being recognized include Brian Cashman, GM of the NY Yankees, NY Jet Sione Pouha, Chris Snee of the NY Giants, NY Rangers Legend Dave Maloney, Travis Zajac of NJ Devils, NY Red Bull Stephen Keel, and NY Knicks Legend Charles Smith.

Special guests include 12 year old actress Carly Rose Sonenclar. Sonenclar is currently featured in the PBS series The Electric Company. WABC-TV's Rob Powers will emcee the event, and Stu Medow will be the auctioneer.
